Conflicts and hard decisions

Uma called me yesterday night. As usual, the chat went on for long. Now, I am a bit concerned over her routine of chatting with me on the phone for so long time. What would Vasu and Padma think about this ? I told Uma not to talk for so long, as this may raise unnecessary feelings, and suspicion in their minds. Uma, had a very spontaneous reply "Maamma.. why are you scared... let come whatever it be.. I dare to talk to you ... and I dare to live with you.. ". She paused for a few moments. I called her 'hello... hello... ' on the phone, as I thought the line is interrupted. "Yes Maamma.. I am determined.." she continued.
I am sure Padma must have smelt it well. Afterall, she had a feel of the situation, while she was here for over a month. But she keeps mum on what she sensed.. may be that it suits her well ! Padma, it seems to me, likes the relationship Uma has with me. Afterall, she is jealous of Uma, and may like her unholy relationship with me. Padma is very shrewd too. She must be thinking (I think so !) that there's nothing unholy about Uma living with me.. and even this relationship would bring in good to Uma.. and to Vasu's family. I thaink this is what Padma must have in her mind. May be, I am wrong. Only time will tell you all.
My assessment of the situation is reinforced by the fact that, Uma is being pulled by her father to be with them. Vasu asked Uma not to get back to my place. Uma refused the demand from her father. But Padma is pushing her to be away from them. That's why she told Vasu that its good for Uma to be here.. she quoted the case of Uma's job. Uma was so high on projecting this in her favour.
This conflict, with the Vasus, is all the proof of their attitudes. Though Vasu (I think) has not smelt anything bad so far, he may do so shortly. But Padma is clever enough to make Vasu undoubted. That's what Padma wants.
I have my own concerns over this issue. How do I normalise this ? I love Uma.. I want her with me for all my life... and Uma being determined to be my life associate, I have a strong position.
But how to clear off the clouds ? I am not too sure right now. But I'll certainly do anything for this.. but I want everything to be soft ... no hard decisions and hardships ! and without hurting anyone. Yeah.. that takes time !
